Android is not one device — it is a distribution. We build in Kotlin with Compose and Material 3, then test against the low-end hardware your users actually carry. Baseline profiles, R8 shrinking and strict frame budgets keep the app fast on a four-year-old midrange phone, and Play Console staged rollouts mean a bad build never reaches everyone.

Design here is not a set of pretty screens handed over a wall. We run discovery interviews, map the flows, prototype the hard interactions in code, and deliver a tokenised design system wired to the same components the app ships with. Light and dark are designed together, and every state — empty, loading, error, offline — is specified before a line of production code exists.

Most mobile apps fail at the seam between device and server. We build offline-first data layers with conflict resolution, typed API contracts shared between platforms, and push infrastructure that degrades gracefully. If you already have a backend team, we integrate with them and document the contract; if you don't, we build it.

Launch & store strategy

Getting approved is the low bar. Because you told us the app matters. Cross-platform is a genuine fit for content-led apps with simple interaction, and we will say so if that is your situation. But the moment you need real gesture physics, deep OS integration, background work that survives, or 120Hz scrolling through a large data set, native stops being a preference and starts being the only thing that works. We would rather turn down a project than build it on the wrong foundation.

You will have a clickable prototype inside three weeks and a TestFlight or internal-track build you can run on your own phone by week six. From there, builds land every week. We do not do the six-month reveal.

You do — outright, from the first commit. Work happens in your repository where possible, or in ours and transferred at each milestone. There are no licence fees, no proprietary framework you are locked into, and no charge to leave.

Often, yes. We start with a paid two-week audit: architecture, crash data, performance traces, dependency health and store metrics. You get a written assessment and a costed plan for repair or rebuild. If the honest answer is that the existing codebase is fine and you need something smaller than us, the audit says that too.

We handle it, and it is included. Rejection is a normal part of shipping, not an emergency. We prepare submissions to avoid the common triggers, and when something is flagged we write the appeal, make the change or take the call with Apple.

Yes. We work under NDA as standard, and our engineers have delivered under HIPAA, SOC 2 and PCI-adjacent constraints. Security reviews, penetration testing coordination and access controls are part of the engagement, not an add-on.
